Insurance Meets Tech (IMT), West Africa’s leading platform at the intersection of insurance and technology, will return for its fourth edition on Wednesday, September 11, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja, Lagos.
With the theme “Innovating for the New Trybe”, IMT 4.0 will bring together leaders from the financial, technology, and creative sectors to explore how digital innovation is reshaping insurance, lifestyle, and the continent’s future economy. The 2025 event promises a dual-format experience: the flagship IMT 4.0 for C-suite and policy discussions, and IMT Redefined 2.0, a youth-focused segment examining the fusion of insurance, culture, and technology.
Headlining this year’s conference is Per Lagerström, an internationally respected insurtech innovator, entrepreneur, and financial expert. With more than three decades of experience spanning financial services, technology, FMCG, and consulting, Lagerström pioneered the field of BehaviorTech—integrating behavioural science, artificial intelligence, and innovation to drive transformational outcomes. As CEO of Yellowspot, an Ireland-based venture studio, he leads disruptive projects in financial planning, education, and human-centered digital transformation.
Odion Aleobua, Convener of IMT and CEO of Modion Communications, expressed his excitement ahead of the event. “We are honored to welcome Per Lagerstrom to Lagos. His pioneering work at the intersection of behavioral science and Insurtech aligns perfectly with our mission at IMT 4.0: to convene bold ideas and voices shaping the future of protection for a new generation.”
The event will feature thought-provoking panels, immersive workshops, product showcases, and youth-led innovation sessions, addressing topics such as predictive technology, embedded insurance, inclusive innovation, and disruptive underwriting.
Lagerstrom noted, “Financial services are experiencing rapid transformation, driven by AI, Behavior Tech, and evolving consumer behaviors. This creates both challenges and unprecedented opportunities for growth. I look forward to sharing insights at IMT 4.0 on how to navigate these extraordinary times.”
IMT 4.0 also announced Cube Cover as its Gold Sponsor. Cube Cover, a leading Nigerian Insurtech and microinsurance provider, joins as an early strategic partner helping power this year’s conference.
