The Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka, has honoured the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Hon. Yazid Shehu Umar Danfulani, for his exceptional contribution to national growth.
Danfulani received the special award during a courtesy visit to the FCC headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday. According to Dr. Dankaka, the award symbolises the Commission’s deep appreciation for Danfulani’s dedicated service and unwavering commitment to advancing national interests, especially in the agricultural insurance sector.
“We are proud to recognize Hon. Danfulani for his tireless efforts and visionary leadership in strengthening agricultural insurance and supporting the nation’s economic growth,” she said.
The visit also served as an opportunity for both institutions to reaffirm their commitment to working together to foster fairness, inclusivity, and equity across national development strategies.
In his remarks, Danfulani expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue serving the nation, especially by enhancing insurance coverage and protection for farmers across Nigeria. He emphasized that both NAIC and the FCC have vital roles to play in ensuring that the principles of federal character are upheld and implemented across all sectors.
“As institutions, we must continue to collaborate and work hand in hand to ensure that federal character and fairness are not just ideals, but a reality across all sectors of our national life,” Danfulani stated.
