Leadway Assurance has officially entered into a strategic bancassurance partnership with Ecobank Nigeria Limited, aiming to provide integrated insurance solutions to Ecobank’s employees, customers, and small business clients.
The partnership, launched on Friday, marks a key milestone in promoting financial inclusion by embedding insurance products directly into everyday banking services. Customers can now access a wide range of insurance offerings — including life, health, motor, and home coverage — at Ecobank branches nationwide.
In a statement, Leadway emphasized that the collaboration will enable Ecobank stakeholders to enjoy seamless access to its trusted portfolio of insurance products, designed to meet their diverse and evolving needs.
Kikelomo Fischer, Director of Sales, Retail and Partnerships at Leadway Assurance, described the initiative as a deliberate effort to simplify insurance and make it more accessible to Nigerians.
“This collaboration is about making insurance simple, accessible, and part of everyday life,” Fischer said. “By leveraging Ecobank’s extensive network, we are bringing financial protection directly to where people bank, making it easier for them to secure the coverage they need.”
She added that the partnership is part of a broader goal to close the insurance gap in Nigeria by integrating Leadway’s customer-focused products with Ecobank’s strong presence across the country.
Echoing this sentiment, Adeola Ogunyemi, Head of Distribution Channels and Sales for Consumer & Commercial Banking at Ecobank, said the partnership aligns with the bank’s mission to provide a comprehensive suite of financial services under one roof.

The rollout will begin at selected Ecobank branches nationwide, with specially trained product champions available to assist customers in exploring insurance options. Available offerings will include Leadway’s Group Life Cover, Personal Accident Insurance, and Term Life policies—designed to benefit both Ecobank staff and retail clients.
