Insurance group empowers students with mentorship, gifts, and educational support under the theme “Give to Gain.”
Consolidated Hallmark Holdings Plc marked this year’s International Women’s Day with a vibrant Corporate Social Responsibility outreach aimed at inspiring young girls in Lagos and Abuja to embrace their potential and pursue ambitious futures.
Held at Baptist Senior High School in Obanikoro, Lagos, and the Sisters of the Redeemer School in Ketti Village, Abuja, the initiative aligned with the global theme “Give to Gain,” focusing on mentorship, confidence-building, and educational support for female students.
The Lagos event brought together students, teachers, and representatives from the Consolidated Hallmark Group for a lively session filled with motivational talks, interactive activities, and engaging discussions. The programme encouraged students to reflect on their aspirations while celebrating the power of education and leadership among young girls.
Speaking during the outreach, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Limited, Mary Adeyanju, urged the students to see themselves as future leaders capable of shaping Nigeria’s future.
According to her, the opportunities available to young girls today are the result of the efforts of women who challenged societal limitations in the past.
“Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, I see a generation of future leaders, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and innovators. The doors you walk through today were opened by courageous women before us. Now it is your turn to dream boldly, work hard, and shape the future,” she said.
Also speaking at the event, the Group Head of Underwriting at Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Limited, Ejiro Efekoha-Momoh, shared her personal story and encouraged the girls to stay confident and determined despite challenges.
She reminded the students that moments of doubt are normal but should never stop them from pursuing their dreams.
“Believing in yourself and remaining committed to your goals will take you far. Every day offers a chance to make a difference, and no dream is too big for a girl who believes in her potential,” she said.
As part of the celebration, Consolidated Hallmark presented gifts to the students, adding excitement to the occasion. In a special recognition, the company’s Managing Director also presented a ₦50,000 cash award to the Head Girl, Ogundepo Sofiat Ayomide, in recognition of her leadership and academic excellence.
The outreach extended to Abuja, where female staff of Consolidated Hallmark Holdings Plc, led by Marketing Head Tejiri Aghware, visited the Redeemer School in Ketti Village.
During the visit, the team held discussions with students on the importance of education for the girl child, encouraging them to remain focused on their studies and future ambitions.
To support the students, the team donated exercise books and textbooks and also provided financial assistance to help cover the school fees of some pupils.
Nana Firdausi, a marketer with the company, said the visit was aimed at showing the girls that their dreams are valid regardless of their background.
“Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream beyond her immediate environment. Education opens doors to possibilities they may not yet imagine,” she said.
The initiative reflects Consolidated Hallmark Holdings Plc’s ongoing commitment to community development, education, and youth empowerment. Through programmes like this, the company continues to demonstrate that investing in young people today can help build stronger communities and a more inclusive future.
