SanlamAllianz Nigeria has launched the second edition of its Proud Moments campaign, seeking to change how Nigerians perceive insurance by presenting it as a financial tool that supports life’s achievements rather than simply protection against unexpected events.
The insurer, comprising SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Nigeria and SanlamAllianz General Insurance Nigeria, unveiled Proud Moments 2.0 as part of efforts to celebrate the achievements and personal journeys of Nigerians.
The campaign, built around the theme “You’ve Earned It. Celebrate It,” moves away from the traditional fear-driven narrative associated with insurance and instead focuses on the milestones people work to achieve throughout their lives.
According to the company, such milestones could include starting a business, buying a first car or home, completing an educational programme, raising a family or overcoming significant personal challenges.
The campaign also recognises the support networks behind many achievements, including parents, grandparents, teachers, mentors, friends, neighbours and other loved ones.
Chris Ekwonwa, Group Head, Strategy, Marketing and Customer Relations, SanlamAllianz Nigeria, said insurance should be viewed as an enabler that gives people greater confidence and financial security to enjoy what they have achieved while preparing for the future.
He said the campaign was designed to remind Nigerians that the company’s role extends beyond providing insurance products to recognising and celebrating the achievements of its customers and the wider society.
Proud Moments 2.0 will run for more than eight weeks across digital and traditional media platforms.
As part of the campaign, SanlamAllianz is inviting Nigerians to nominate authentic and emotionally compelling stories shared on social media, particularly stories that have ended on a positive or life-changing note.

Bankole Banjo, Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager at SanlamAllianz Nigeria, said the company was particularly interested in genuine Nigerian stories that demonstrate transformation and positive outcomes.
He urged Nigerians to share their stories through the company’s social media platforms, noting that the most resonant stories would be considered for the campaign’s reward.
Beyond the storytelling initiative, the campaign includes a national radio component and product advertising across selected digital platforms.
The launch comes as SanlamAllianz continues to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s insurance market. The company was among the insurers listed by the National Insurance Commission as having completed the industry’s recapitalisation requirements.
The company said Proud Moments 2.0 further reflects its commitment to insurance education, customer engagement and promoting a broader understanding of the role insurance can play in helping Nigerians protect and build their financial futures.
