The 2026 Insurance Industry Awards and Consumers’ Nite will hold on November 6 at the Stable Event Centre in Surulere, Lagos, with veteran insurance professional Opeoluwa Emmanuel Oredugba set to receive the Insurance Life Achievers Award.
The award ceremony, organised by Almond Productions Limited, recognises individuals and organisations whose contributions have advanced Nigeria’s insurance industry.
According to the organisers, the event, which began in 2018, was established to celebrate professionals across the various segments of the industry who promote insurance despite prevailing challenges, as well as companies and institutions introducing changes in their operations and delivering value to Nigerians.
Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions, Faith Ugwuode, said that although insurance awareness and penetration remained low in Nigeria, industry players were working to improve public understanding of insurance and its benefits.
She cited products and services across health insurance, life insurance, agricultural insurance, annuities and general insurance as areas through which operators were seeking to reach more Nigerians.
Ugwuode said Oredugba would receive the 2026 Insurance Life Achievers Award in recognition of his contributions to the industry spanning more than four decades.
The annual event has become a platform for celebrating industry leaders and professionals whose work has supported the development of insurance in Nigeria.
