All is set for the 2025 edition of the Almond Insurance Industry Awards, a prestigious annual event that celebrates excellence and innovation within Nigeria’s insurance sector.
The event, tagged #Recharged Edition, will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Stable Event Centre, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos. It will bring together stakeholders across all arms of the insurance industry, policymakers, clients, entertainers, and members of the insuring public.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions Limited, Ms. Faith Ughwode, this year’s awards will recognise outstanding individuals and organisations across nine categories within the insurance ecosystem.
Ughwode announced that the evening will feature performances from top comedians such as Creative Toby, MC Taichi, and MC Obinna, alongside musical headliner Slimcase, known as the “party shutdown king.”
The event will be hosted by Nollywood legend, Mr. Segun Arinze, who will anchor the show and guide the night’s celebrations.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Ughwode said the Almond Awards aim to reshape the narrative of insurance in Nigeria by using elements of pop culture to engage the country’s predominantly young population—an audience she described as the “next frontier” for insurance growth.
“The Nigerian insurance industry has long struggled with issues of mistrust and public skepticism,” she said. “Platforms like the Almond Awards, which blend entertainment and industry recognition, are helping to bridge that gap and make insurance more relatable to the public.”
In addition to performances, this year’s ceremony will feature several high-profile guest presenters from across various sectors of the economy. Among the dignitaries expected are former Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Mrs. Rollence McCoy, President of WimAfrica, and Mr. Emmanuel Evue, Chairman of Emalsson Enterprises Ltd, among others.
