The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FastClaim Solutions Limited, Uche Okugo, says the company’s new artificial intelligence–driven platform is transforming how Nigerians file and process motor insurance claims — making the once tedious process faster, simpler, and more transparent.
In a statement on Monday, Okugo said the FastClaim App was developed to automate and streamline the end-to-end motor claims process. The platform, built in partnership with several insurance firms under the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), uses real-time remote vehicle inspections and automated damage assessments to deliver instant repair estimates.
“Through the innovative use of mobile technology, AI, and real-time validation, FastClaim turns complexity into simplicity,” Okugo said. “We are not just automating claims; we are humanising the entire experience.”
Cutting Through Red Tape
Motor insurance claims in Nigeria have traditionally been bogged down by extensive paperwork, manual inspections, and long waiting periods. FastClaim aims to eliminate these barriers.
Using a guided mobile interface, policyholders can capture images or videos of damaged vehicles directly from the scene of an incident. The app’s AI engine then analyses the footage, detects the extent of damage, and instantly generates an estimated repair cost — all within minutes.
According to the company, this innovation is helping both insurers and customers: insurance companies are seeing faster turnaround times, better fraud detection, and improved operational control, while customers enjoy greater transparency and autonomy throughout the process.
Expanding Features and Partnerships
Responding to user feedback, FastClaim says it has improved the precision of its AI model, introduced geo-tagging for better claim verification, and added guided video walkthroughs to support more accurate assessments.
The company also announced plans to roll out multilingual support and a built-in dispute resolution system to strengthen fairness and trust in claim outcomes.
With growing partnerships across Nigeria’s insurance ecosystem, FastClaim is positioning itself as a key player in the country’s ongoing drive toward digital transformation in insurance services.
“Our goal is to make motor insurance claims as seamless as sending a text message,” Okugo said. “We believe technology should bring empathy, not frustration, to the claims experience.”
