In a move to strengthen its corporate social responsibility and advance sustainable education, Lasaco Assurance Plc has inaugurated a state-of-the-art “Lasaco Smart Class” at Agindigbi Junior Grammar School in Ikeja, Lagos.
The initiative is part of the company’s broader mission to promote digital literacy, bridge educational disparities, and create technology-driven learning environments in public schools.
Equipped with cutting-edge digital tools, the new facility aims to prepare students with essential 21st-century skills, enabling them to adapt to a rapidly changing, technology-oriented world.
Beyond enhancing digital learning, the Smart Class project also seeks to foster early insurance awareness among students, helping them understand the importance of financial security, risk management, and sustainability.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Sesan Oki, Head of Internal Control and Compliance at Lasaco Assurance, who represented the Managing Director, described the project as “an investment in Nigeria’s future.”
“At Lasaco Assurance, we recognize that education and technology are the twin pillars of progress,” Oki said. “The Lasaco Smart Class is not just a contribution to learning outcomes—it is a deliberate effort to nurture young minds with the values of foresight, security, and preparedness that insurance embodies.”
The launch marks the beginning of a broader CSR agenda by Lasaco Assurance, centered on education, innovation, and community empowerment.
By merging digital education with insurance literacy, the company reinforces its reputation as a forward-thinking insurer committed to creating lasting social impact and building resilient communities.
