The President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Ekeoma Ezeibe, has congratulated two past leaders of the council, Feyisayo Soyewo and Babatunde Oguntade, on their recognition at the 2025 edition of the Champion Newspapers Awards.
The awards ceremony, held at Eko Hotels & Suites on March 14, 2026, saw Soyewo receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Oguntade was named Insurance Personality of the Year.
Ezeibe described both honours as well-deserved, noting that the recipients have made significant contributions to advancing professionalism within Nigeria’s insurance brokerage sector.
She said Oguntade’s recognition reflects the impactful achievements recorded during his tenure as NCRIB president, while commending Soyewo as a distinguished professional, community leader and humanitarian whose influence continues to benefit both the council and the wider society.
“Their achievements have set high standards for excellence within the insurance broking profession,” she noted.
Ezeibe, who also served as one of the award presenters, praised the organisers for recognising excellence within the industry, adding that such honours serve to motivate professionals to strive for distinction.
The event attracted leading figures from across the public and private sectors, including top government officials, industry leaders and key stakeholders.
