NSIA Insurance Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to industry advancement through its sponsorship of the 2025 Mid-Year Workshop organized by the Lagos Area Committee of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB). The event, which focused on evolving practices in corporate reporting, was held at the NCRIB Conference Hall in Yaba, Lagos.
Themed “Navigating the Changing Corporate Reporting Landscape – Insurance Brokers’ Perspective,” the workshop brought together leading voices in the insurance sector, including NCRIB President Babatunde Oguntade, NCRIB-LAC Chairman Oluwafemi Oduwole, and guest speaker Dr. Iheanyi Anyahara, a former director at the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
In a statement released on Wednesday, NSIA Insurance said its support for the event reflects its belief in strategic partnerships that foster regulatory compliance, knowledge sharing, and capacity building across the industry.
Managing Director/CEO of NSIA Insurance, Mr. Moruf Apampa, who spoke at the event, commended the NCRIB for its leadership and vision. “This workshop exemplifies the type of forward-thinking engagement the industry needs—one that drives meaningful conversations around corporate governance and sustainable reporting. I commend the NCRIB for curating such a timely and relevant platform,” he said.
In recognition of its steadfast support for the insurance broking community, NSIA Insurance was presented with an award of appreciation, highlighting the company’s consistent contributions to the growth and development of the profession.
The award further underscores NSIA Insurance’s ongoing collaboration with the NCRIB and its broader commitment to professionalism, transparency, and innovation in Nigeria’s insurance sector.
The NCRIB Mid-Year Workshop continues to serve as a critical forum for brokers and industry stakeholders to examine emerging trends, share best practices, and uphold the ethical standards that define the future of insurance broking in Nigeria.
