The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Oluwaseun Faleye, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) Women Commission in recognition of his leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality in the workplace.
The award was presented during an event organised to commemorate International Women’s Day in Abuja.
Presenting the award, Chairperson of the TUC Women Commission, Esther Asabe Ahmadu, said Faleye was recognised for his visionary leadership, integrity, and dedication to promoting women’s development.
According to her, his contributions have inspired progress and created a lasting impact through initiatives that promote fairness, social protection, and inclusive workplaces.
Ahmadu noted that the NSITF boss has consistently demonstrated strong support for gender equality and decent work standards, particularly through policies that protect the rights and dignity of women in the workplace.
She added that Faleye’s leadership reflects a clear commitment to building equitable work environments that empower women and strengthen social protection for Nigerian workers.
Responding to the honour, Faleye expressed appreciation to the TUC Women Commission for recognising what he described as his modest contributions.
He dedicated the award to the staff of NSITF, stating that their dedication and commitment made the organisation’s achievements possible.
Faleye also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting gender inclusion, equality, and the creation of safe and healthy workplaces for all workers.
The award ceremony formed part of activities organised by the TUC Women Commission to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration.
