Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has announced its partnership with the Clean-Up Badagry Initiative to plant 200 trees in Debojo Community, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
The recent exercise brought together company staff, local residents, and environmental advocates to promote reforestation and strengthen climate action efforts in the area.
Acting Head of Sustainability at Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, Mr. Samuel Adehaka, said the project reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable development and creating meaningful environmental impact within host communities. He noted that environmental responsibility remains a key pillar of the organisation’s broader sustainability agenda.
According to him, tree planting delivers long-term benefits that extend far beyond aesthetics.
“Tree planting goes beyond the beautification of our environment. It is a strategic investment in cleaner air, enhanced climate resilience, and the overall well-being of our communities. Our partnership with the Clean-Up Badagry Initiative reflects Prudential Zenith Life’s belief that environmental sustainability is central to building a secure and prosperous future,” he said.
Adehaka added that through its collaboration with the initiative, Prudential Zenith Life Insurance is contributing not only to reforestation but also to raising environmental awareness among community members.
He noted that the newly planted trees are expected to help address deforestation, cut carbon emissions, and improve soil fertility across the fast-growing Ibeju-Lekki region.
