SanlamAllianz, Nigeria’s leading insurance powerhouse created from the merger of global and African giants Allianz and Sanlam, will kick off an unprecedented 12-city nationwide roadshow starting Monday, June 23. This initiative follows the brand’s recent official introduction to the Nigerian market and aims to deepen customer engagement, build trust, and raise awareness about insurance and financial planning across the country.
The campaign will cover key commercial and regional hubs across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones, including Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, Warri, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Onitsha, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Jos, and Abuja. This marks one of the largest consumer-focused campaigns in Nigeria’s insurance industry, reinforcing SanlamAllianz as both a pan-African brand and one that is deeply connected to local communities.
Commenting on the initiative, Tunde Mimiko, MD/CEO of SanlamAllianz Life Insurance, said:
“This nationwide campaign reflects both the scale of our ambition and the depth of our commitment to Nigeria. At its core, insurance is built on trust, and trust begins with presence. By reaching customers where they are, we can bridge the gap between perception and reality, challenge long-standing misconceptions, and show how insurance can help build resilience, drive financial confidence, and secure long-term prosperity.”
Each leg of the roadshow will feature customer engagement forums, allowing stakeholders to interact directly with SanlamAllianz’s leadership and frontline teams. These forums will enable the brand to connect with customers personally, listen to their concerns, and reaffirm its long‑term commitment to Nigeria.
Yomi Onifade, MD/CEO of SanlamAllianz General Insurance, added:
“Insurance only becomes relevant when it is truly understood, trusted, and tailored to people’s everyday needs. These forums are an opportunity for us to reintroduce ourselves, not just as a merged entity, but as a united brand that is dedicated to serving Nigerians. We want to listen, understand, and build trust by providing solutions that matter. Our goal is to help shape a future where insurance becomes an integral part of everyday life across Nigeria.”
Industry analysts say this initiative signals a shift from traditional insurance marketing, which has long relied heavily on broker networks and digital platforms. By going direct to communities across Nigeria, SanlamAllianz is positioning itself as a customer-centric brand, one that is making a bold investment in deepening insurance penetration and financial literacy nationwide.
Founded in September 2023, SanlamAllianz is a joint venture between Sanlam Africa’s largest non‑banking financial services group and Allianz, one of the world’s leading insurers and asset managers. Operating in 27 African countries, SanlamAllianz brings over 200 years of combined experience to the market, offering a comprehensive range of services that include life and general insurance, asset management, assistance, third‑party administration, and retail credit.
