In a significant recognition of his contributions to the insurance industry, Olaotan Soyinka, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, has been honored with the ‘Most Outstanding Auto Insurance CEO of the Year’ award for 2024. The accolade was presented at the prestigious Business Excellence Award, organized by Beta Media Group in Lagos.

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Soyinka’s career is marked by a series of notable accomplishments. He holds a degree in Insurance and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Lagos. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (AIIN).
Joining Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc in March 1998, Soyinka has played pivotal roles in both the Marketing and Technical divisions. His leadership has been instrumental in the company’s consistent growth and transformation, particularly since assuming the role of MD/CEO. Under his guidance, the company has reached new heights, bolstering its position in the Nigerian insurance market.
An alumnus of the Lagos Business School’s Senior Management Programme, Soyinka is also a respected member of the Ikoyi Club 1938, reflecting his active engagement in both professional and social circles.
The award further cements Soyinka’s reputation as a leading figure in Nigeria’s insurance industry, underlining his influence and impact on the sector’s development.
