Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc is taking road safety to the fast lane with its bold community outreach, Car Lovers Connect — an interactive event blending fun, education, and safety awareness for car owners and enthusiasts.
After a successful debut in Lagos, the Abuja edition held yesterday in partnership with K-Cool Automobile Garage and Academy drew drivers, mechanics, and families eager to learn smarter and safer driving habits.
From free car diagnostics to hands-on maintenance tutorials, the event underscored Veritas Kapital’s push to make Nigerian roads safer while deepening its corporate social responsibility impact.
Regional Head (North), Abayomi Ayibosi, said the initiative embodies the insurer’s vision of protection beyond policies.
“Car Lovers Connect is about connection, education, and protection,” Ayibosi explained. “We’re not just insuring cars; we’re helping people prevent accidents and understand their vehicles better.”
Led by Engineer Oluwakayode Increase Osorun, the K-Cool team offered practical car care lessons—covering everything from the right engine oil to spotting early mechanical warning signs.
“Most car owners overlook small issues that lead to big problems,” Osorun noted. “We’re giving them the knowledge to drive safer and smarter.”
Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Arinze Adigwe, described the project as a vital part of the company’s CSR mission.
“This isn’t about selling insurance,” he said. “It’s about empowering people with knowledge that protects their lives, their assets, and their peace of mind.”
With plans to expand Car Lovers Connect to more cities nationwide, Veritas Kapital is proving that modern insurance goes beyond claims — it’s about safeguarding people, passions, and the road ahead.
