Insurance Meets Tech (IMT), West Africa’s leading platform for exploring the intersection of insurance and technology, has announced the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) as an institutional partner for its upcoming IMT 4.0 Conference, set to hold on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Lagos.
In a statement, IMT Convener and CEO of Modion Communications, Odion Aleobua, described the collaboration as a strategic alignment between NCRIB’s legacy of professional excellence in regulating insurance brokerage and IMT’s mission to connect traditional industry structures with emerging, technology-driven solutions.
He noted that the partnership will strengthen discussions around redefining the role of brokers in Nigeria’s rapidly changing insurance sector.
President and Chairman of the Governing Board of NCRIB, Prince Babatunde Oguntade, who is expected to speak at the conference, welcomed the partnership with enthusiasm.
“Insurance brokers remain the trusted bridge between insurers and the public. In this time of rapid transformation, our relevance depends on how well we adapt, innovate, and lead. Insurance Meets Tech provides the platform for such strategic engagement,” Oguntade said.
He emphasized that NCRIB’s participation underscores its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and client-centered innovation in the brokerage sector.
Aleobua added that the collaboration demonstrates NCRIB’s readiness to drive the integration of technology, creativity, and consumer trust in the Nigerian insurance space.
“With NCRIB on board, the broker’s voice will be amplified in industry-defining conversations,” he stated.
The NCRIB now joins other key stakeholders in the Nigerian insurance industry, including the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), as institutional partners for the IMT 4.0 Conference—a move organizers say is critical to building a multi-stakeholder platform for the industry.
