The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Barrister Oluwaseun Mayomi Faleye, has stressed that ethical reorientation is essential for institutional growth and staff development.
Faleye made the remark while delivering a goodwill message at a Workshop on Ethical Reorientation organized by the Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI), NSITF Domestic Unit.
Describing the programme as timely, he said the theme — “Ethical Reorientation to Enhance Awareness of Responsibilities in Promoting Management Policies and Core Values” — directly addresses the foundation of sustainable institutional progress.
“The programme touches the very heart of institutional growth and staff development,” Faleye noted.
He praised NSITF staff for their support since his assumption of office in July 2024, crediting their cooperation for fostering industrial harmony. According to him, this unity has created an enabling environment for management to focus on delivering the Fund’s mandate.
“Without harmony, focus becomes difficult. But with unity, the road to progress is clearer and more achievable,” he said.
Reinforcing the importance of teamwork and integrity, the NSITF boss urged staff to “build bridges, not walls; deepen synergy, not suspicion; and move from fragmented efforts to collective impact.” He also quoted the late statesman Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who emphasized cooperation, hard work, and perseverance as pathways to greatness.
Faleye described the workshop as more than a training session, calling it a reaffirmation of the Fund’s duty to Nigerian workers and the state. He encouraged participants to put lessons into practice, stressing: “Let us leave here with renewed conviction that each of us has a role to play in the growth of the NSITF.”
In his opening remarks, ASSBIFI President, Comrade Olusoji Okewole, said the workshop was designed to strengthen ethical awareness and align staff responsibilities with organizational policies and values.
