Heirs Insurance Group and United Capital Plc recently hosted the Yoga and Money Meet-Up, a wellness and financial empowerment event tailored for ambitious women.
Held in Lagos, the event delivered a curated experience that combined guided yoga and stress management sessions with expert-led discussions on insurance, investment strategies, and asset protection. The initiative underscores both organisations’ commitment to making financial wellness more relevant and accessible to Nigerian women.
Speaking at the event, Chief Marketing Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, Ifesinachi Okoli-Okpagu, highlighted the intrinsic connection between wellness and financial security. She noted that self-care extends beyond physical and mental well-being to include deliberate financial decisions, particularly the role of insurance in safeguarding assets.
She further introduced a motor insurance solution designed specifically for women, offering comprehensive coverage against accidents, fire, theft, and other unforeseen incidents. The product also features 24/7 emergency roadside assistance for female drivers, delivered in partnership with AA Rescue. Additionally, customers benefit from a rewards programme that provides access to discounts on wellness services, including spas and related programmes.
Also speaking at the event, Managing Director of United Capital Asset Management, Dr Odiri Oginni, emphasised that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing women’s empowerment. She stated that financial independence and personal well-being are closely linked, and initiatives such as this help create opportunities for women to achieve both.
Dr Oginni added that this vision informed the development of the firm’s Wealth for Women Fund, which provides women with accessible and secure investment opportunities aimed at building long-term financial stability.
The Yoga and Money Meet-Up reflects a joint effort by both organisations to empower Nigerian women through enhanced financial literacy, wellness awareness, and access to protection-focused solutions.
