SanlamAllianz Nigeria has unveiled the second edition of its Proud Moments campaign, placing personal achievements and the people who make them possible at the centre of its latest insurance awareness initiative.
Tagged “You’ve Earned It. Celebrate It,” the campaign seeks to present insurance from a more positive perspective by highlighting the importance of protecting the milestones Nigerians work hard to achieve.
The initiative is being implemented by SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Nigeria and SanlamAllianz General Insurance Nigeria.
The campaign will spotlight a range of personal milestones, including starting a business, purchasing a first car or home, achieving educational goals, building a family and overcoming significant personal challenges.
Beyond individual achievements, Proud Moments 2.0 will celebrate the people who often provide support along the journey. These include parents, grandparents, teachers, mentors, neighbours, friends and other loved ones.
Group Head, Strategy, Marketing and Customer Relations, SanlamAllianz Nigeria, Chris Ekwonwa, said the initiative was designed to broaden the public’s understanding of what insurance represents.
According to him, insurance should not be viewed solely as a financial response to unforeseen events but also as a tool that gives people greater confidence to enjoy and protect the results of their efforts.
“At SanlamAllianz Nigeria, we strongly believe that insurance should not be viewed merely as a response to what could go wrong, but as an empowering enabler that recognises, celebrates and provides people with the confidence, financial security and peace to enjoy what they have worked hard to achieve,” Ekwonwa said.
He added that the campaign reflects the company’s belief that achievements of all sizes deserve recognition and protection.
Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, SanlamAllianz Nigeria, Bankole Banjo, said the company was seeking genuine Nigerian stories capable of connecting emotionally with audiences and ending on a positive note.
He encouraged Nigerians to share authentic stories of achievement on social media as part of the campaign.
According to Banjo, the story judged to have the strongest resonance will earn its central character an all-expenses-paid trip to Dakar to watch the 2026 Youth Olympics, courtesy of SanlamAllianz Nigeria.
The campaign is expected to combine storytelling with insurance awareness, using everyday experiences and personal milestones to encourage Nigerians to think more broadly about financial protection and long-term security.
