Organisers of Insurance Meets Tech have shifted the date for the fifth edition of the industry conference, saying the postponement will allow them to maintain the quality and experience associated with the platform.
The conference, known as IMT 5.0, is scheduled to take place in Lagos and is designed to bring insurance and technology stakeholders together to explore the growing intersection between both sectors.
Convener of Insurance Meets Tech, Odion Aleobua, said the decision to move the event was deliberate and aimed at ensuring that the organisers did not compromise the standards established over the past five years.
He said the conference had evolved beyond a conventional industry gathering, with participants using the platform to establish partnerships, develop business opportunities and drive conversations around innovation in insurance.
Aleobua explained that the organisers considered it preferable to adjust the schedule rather than deliver an event that fell below the expectations of participants and partners.
According to him, IMT has maintained a high standard since its inception, making it necessary for the organisers to protect the credibility and quality of the platform.
He said the additional time would enable the organising team to coordinate the various components of the conference and ensure that the next edition delivers the expected experience for attendees.
The convener added that relationships and commercial opportunities generated through previous editions had continued to influence developments within the insurance industry beyond the duration of the events.
He expressed confidence that the additional preparation period would position IMT 5.0 for another successful gathering when it holds in Lagos in November.
