The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Lasaco Assurance Plc aimed at enhancing institutional capacity, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
According to a statement by Lasaco Assurance, the collaboration reflects a deliberate effort to bridge public sector service delivery with private sector innovation, fostering a more resilient and efficient institutional framework.
The partnership was formalised during a courtesy visit by senior officials of the NIS Lagos Command to the corporate headquarters of Lasaco Assurance in Lagos. Led by the Deputy Comptroller of Immigration and Passport Control Officer, the delegation engaged the insurer’s executive management in high-level discussions focused on knowledge sharing, improved risk management practices, and alignment with broader national development objectives.
A key highlight of the engagement was the presentation of an award to the Managing Director of Lasaco Assurance Plc, Mr. Ademoye Shobo, in recognition of his leadership in driving product innovation, strengthening operational resilience, and advancing risk management standards within the insurance industry.
The NIS delegation commended Lasaco Assurance for its customer-centric approach and commitment to professionalism, noting that such qualities position the company as a critical partner in advancing value-driven systems within the Nigerian economy.
They further emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing evolving operational challenges and delivering sustainable outcomes.
In his response, Shobo expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering a productive relationship with the Nigeria Immigration Service.
“We are honoured by this visit and the recognition from the Nigeria Immigration Service. At Lasaco, we believe sustainable institutional growth is driven by purposeful collaboration,” he said.
“We remain committed to building a strong, mutually beneficial partnership that enhances operational efficiency and strengthens trust across both sectors.”
The management of Lasaco Assurance also described the engagement as a significant step toward deeper public-private alignment, noting that it reinforces a shared commitment to institutional excellence.
“This engagement goes beyond formalities. It reflects our collective resolve to combine public sector dedication with private sector innovation to improve service delivery and contribute meaningfully to national development,” the company stated.
Both organisations expressed confidence that the partnership would create new opportunities for strategic growth and reinforce the importance of continuous collaboration between government institutions and private enterprises.
