The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Lagos State Command, has entered into a strategic partnership with Lasaco Assurance Plc aimed at promoting sustainable institutional growth and enhancing operational efficiency.
According to a statement from Lasaco Assurance, the collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between public sector service delivery and private sector innovation, fostering a more integrated and effective operational framework.
The partnership was formalised during a courtesy visit by senior officials of the NIS Lagos Command to the insurer’s corporate headquarters in Lagos. The delegation, led by the Deputy Comptroller of Immigration and Passport Control Officer, engaged Lasaco’s executive management in high-level discussions focused on knowledge sharing, improved risk management practices, and alignment with national development objectives.
A key highlight of the engagement was the presentation of an award to the Managing Director of Lasaco Assurance Plc, Ademoye Shobo, in recognition of his leadership in driving product innovation, strengthening operational resilience, and advancing risk management standards within the industry.
The NIS delegation commended Lasaco Assurance for its customer-focused approach and commitment to professionalism, noting that the company has consistently demonstrated excellence in service delivery.
They further emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in building value-driven systems capable of supporting broader economic development.
In his remarks, Shobo expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the NIS.
“We are honoured by this visit and the recognition from the Nigeria Immigration Service. At Lasaco, we believe sustainable institutional growth is driven by deliberate collaboration,” he said.
“We remain committed to strengthening this partnership to enhance operational efficiency and build trust across both sectors.”
The management of Lasaco Assurance described the engagement as a significant step toward deeper public-private alignment, noting that it reinforces a shared commitment to institutional excellence.
“This engagement goes beyond ceremony; it reflects our collective resolve to combine public sector dedication with private sector innovation to improve service delivery and contribute to national development,” the company stated.
Both organisations expressed confidence that the partnership would create new opportunities for strategic growth, underscoring the importance of continuous collaboration between government agencies and private enterprises in addressing evolving operational challenges.
