AXA Mansard Insurance has launched a digital vehicle inspection system designed to simplify and accelerate motor insurance processes across Nigeria.
The newly introduced solution enables customers to conduct vehicle inspections using their smartphones by submitting photographs, eliminating the need for traditional physical assessments. The feature applies to the onboarding of comprehensive motor insurance policies, renewals, and claims evaluation.
The digital platform leverages automated image analysis to review submitted photos and generate inspection reports, which are then integrated into the company’s underwriting and claims management systems.
According to the company, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance customer experience through technology-driven solutions that prioritize convenience and efficiency.
Chief Technology Officer of AXA Mansard, Chizuru Nwankwonta, said the innovation reflects the company’s focus on simplifying insurance processes and improving accessibility for customers.
She noted that the digital inspection option provides greater flexibility, allowing policyholders to complete key steps in their insurance journey without the delays associated with in-person inspections.
The system was developed in collaboration with an insurance technology partner, whose platform supports image capture, automated screening, and documentation processing. This partnership highlights AXA Mansard’s approach to integrating external technological expertise into its operations.
Now available nationwide, the digital inspection feature can be accessed through the company’s online platforms and during the motor insurance registration process.
