Zenith General Insurance Limited has donated school bags, exercise books and mathematical sets to students in six selected schools across Lagos State as part of efforts to support education and promote inclusive learning.
The company said the initiative, implemented under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, was designed to reduce the financial burden on parents, improve students’ access to essential learning materials and support children, particularly those attending public schools.
Beyond providing educational materials, the insurer said the initiative also sought to encourage students to embrace preparation, perseverance and purpose as key ingredients for academic and personal success.
Speaking at the presentation, the General Manager of Zenith General Insurance Limited, Mrs Dolapo Olatayo Talabi, urged students to view their current academic experiences as a foundation for future achievements.
At Alimosho Junior Grammar School, Talabi engaged students in an interactive session themed “Prepared for Success,” encouraging them to develop positive habits that would help them recognise and take advantage of future opportunities.
She explained that classroom activities, textbooks, assignments and everyday decisions all played important roles in preparing students for the future.
The Head of Corporate Communications at Zenith General Insurance Limited, Hashim Okunbor, said the company considered children central to the country’s future and viewed investment in education as an important component of sustainable community development.
He said supporting students with essential learning materials reflected the company’s commitment to contributing to the communities in which it operates.
The donation forms part of the insurer’s broader CSR efforts to support education and help create a more enabling learning environment for students.
